The Sun Peaks Housing Authority (SPHA) is a community-driven organization dedicated to developing and managing housing that supports the people who live and work in Sun Peaks. Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, SPHA works in partnership with the Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality to create safe, affordable, and year-round housing options that strengthen the local community and economy.

SPHA History
The Sun Peaks Housing Authority (SPHA) was established in 2018 as an incorporated housing authority and legal entity to oversee the development, administration, and management of employee housing in Sun Peaks. SPHA operates as an independent, municipally owned corporation of the Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality (SPMRM), with the Municipality serving as its sole shareholder. Although the Authority remained largely inactive until 2024, several foundational steps were taken in its early years — most notably the securing of the 1180 Sun Peaks Road parcel, which laid the groundwork for SPHA’s first major housing project.
